Located in the Bay of Bengal, the Andaman (along with Nicobar) Islands are a cluster of almost 600 isles. They are geographically closer to Myanmar and Indonesia and politically connected to India. These islands were the scene of dozens of aftershocks as they were located just north of the earthquake’s epicentre that struck in 2004. The ensuing tsunami severely damaged the Nicobar Islands while sparing the Andaman Islands with just minor injuries.
The Andaman Islands is the tourist’s favourite destination due to the vast scenic and natural wonder that it has to offer. Port Blair is the capital that connects to other islands via ferry. You can visit other islands such as Little Andaman, Havelock, and Neil Island. Get a tour of the historic cellular jail, or get to Corbyn’s Cove beach, or better still, tour the Samudrika Marine Museum.
The Veer Savarkar Airport or Port Blair Airport is located about 2 km south of the city. It might be interesting to note that the airport serves as an airbase for the Indian Navy and Coast Guard, which primarily operates Dornier Do-228 and HAL Chetak aircrafts. Our representative will meet you at the airport with a placard and your name on it. Thereafter, you will be escorted to your hotel. Once you have relaxed a little, you will be visiting the National Memorial or the Cellular Jail and enjoying the Light and Sound show in the evening.
Cellular Jail:
Kālā Pānī, translated as Black Water or Cellular Jail, was a colonial prison built by the British Empire in 1906. The primary purpose of the prison was to exile and imprison political revolutionaries. During the British raj, the space was known for its isolation and unforgiving conditions. This three-story national memorial is colossal and has been witness to several inhumane atrocities committed on the convicts. During the independence movement freedom, fighters would refer to it as the Kālā Pānī Jail. A poignant Son-et-Lumiere tells the story of the valiant struggle for independence every day at 6 PM in Hindi and 7:15 PM in English.
A full-day cruise awaits you after breakfast. You will get to Ross Island and North Bay or Coral Island. The journey to NSCB or Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Dweep, also known as Ross Island, will take around 15 minutes. From Ross Island, you will be transferred to North Bay or Coral Island.
Ross Island:
During the British regime, Ross Island has designated the capital of Port Blair. Situated 3 km from the city, the island belongs to the South Andaman Administrative District and contains historic ruins of the penal colony that attracts tourists. The island is home to an extensive collection of some of the earliest British and Japanese structures in India, which also depicts the opulent lifestyle of the British colonists living in Andaman.
Coral Island:
The natural splendour of North Bay Island is well-renowned, as are its exquisite coral reefs and up-close views of the aquatic life below the surface. Coral Island is surrounded by impeccably transparent cyan-coloured water. There are wooden seats and huts scattered along the white sand beach, covered by tall tropical trees. Enjoy the exotic corals, colourful fishes, and marine life.

After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel at Port Blair to visit Corbyn’s Cove and thereafter proceed to Havelock Island. The journey from Port Blair to Havelock Island should take anywhere between 90 and 120 minutes by ferry. Our representative will be waiting on the other side to help you settle into a resort.
Corbyn’s Cove Beach:
Six kilometres from the town of Port Blair, Corbyn’s Cove Beach is a coconut palm-lined beach that is perfect for sunbathing and swimming. There are several amenities, including a hotel, restaurant and bar, and lots of adventure sports. En route to the beach, check out the historical remnants of Japanese Bunkers. Snake Island, a popular scuba diving area, is located right across the shore. The Waves Restaurant & Beer Bar, run by the tourism department, offers delicious food at affordable rates in a highly relaxed setting.

Havelock Island
Havelock Island is the biggest island in the Andamans and is renowned for its coral reefs, immaculate beaches, and fantastic scuba diving opportunities. It is the most-visited island in the Andamans, located just about 30 miles from Port Blair. Get ready to enjoy some of Asia's most popular white sand beaches. Whether you want to relax, paddle in the glistening turquoise shallows, or try your hand at water sports, this is the place.
Radhanagar Beach
Considered one of the best beaches in India, Radhanagar Beach or commonly known as Beach No.7, is a gorgeous length of sand surrounded by clear waters and a dense forest. Its picture-perfect appearance caught the attention of Times Magazine, which gave it the title “7th best beach in the world”. Ideal for relaxation and swimming, tourists can also get a mesmerising view of the sunset or the assortment of lavish greenery, all of which elevate the beauty of the place.

Today, post breakfast, you will have a full-day excursion to Baratang Island. You will return to Port Blair after the excursion for an overnight stay at Port Blair.
Baratang Island:
Baratang is famous for its stunning limestone caves and tangles of mangroves. You will find tiny, intriguing tidal swamp forests and some mud volcanoes. Situated between the middle and south Andaman, Baratang is the first gateway to the north of the city. Following convoy rules, the visit to Baratang will begin early morning - the distance from Port Blair is around 100 km. The place is known to be a natural delight, and there are plenty of authentic Indian dishes. Those who get an opportunity must try.
