Jaipur - Agra
From the Pink City to the City of Love

Agra, sometimes referred to as the "City of Love," is a popular tourist attraction in India that draws visitors worldwide. If Jaipur is called the Pink City, Agra is known as the City of Love due to the inimitable Taj Mahal, a UNESCO Heritage site. Jaipur is equally famous and is the largest city in the state of Rajasthan. Both the cities are part of the Golden Triangle and are rich in scenic beauty as much as they are in history. The Pink City is home to one of the most impressive palaces in India, the Amer Fort.

Jaipur sightseeing

Jaipur is both exotic and enigmatic. After breakfast, we will take you on a sightseeing tour of -

Amer Fort: The Amer Fort is amazingly nostalgic and is one of the leading tourist attractions in Rajasthan. The fort contains an expansive palace complex built in pink sandstone and white marble and sits atop a small hill, 11 km away from the main city.

Sheesh Mahal: The glass palace of Jaipur is one of the most beautiful royal palaces. The Sheesh Mahal gives us a glimpse of royal creativity and love for aesthetics due to its incredibly lavish decor and stunning construction. The Mahal's building is a magnificent illustration of how Rajasthani architecture was influenced by Islamic architecture.

The City Palace: The City Palace is a true symbol of royalty and regality. This iconic structure indeed preserves our history and is still home to the royal family of Jaipur. Maharaja Jai Singh II began constructing the City Palace's original design with the outside wall. All other constructs inside the palace date from distinctive historical periods due to the addition of buildings and courtyards, over the years.

Ram Niwas Gardens: The Ram Niwas Bagh attracts visitors from all over the world who want to witness the splendour of the royal family as well as the skill and complexity of the colonial designs. People generally frequent the garden on weekends or for picnics and day trips. Visitors can also grab a bite in one of the charming garden's tucked-away eateries specialising in traditional Rajasthani fare.

Hawa Mahal: Hawa Mahal, or the 'Palace of Winds, is made of pink sandstone and is a prominent attraction due to its unique honeycombed shape. This stunning edifice, built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh of the Kachhwaha Rajput dynasty, is primarily a towering screen wall that allowed royal women to watch street festivities and the bustling city life while staying hidden from the general public.
