Explore Ladakh

Ladakh is a mountainous area in North India also called the "country of high mountain passes." The capital of Ladakh, Leh, is located at 3500 metres above sea level in the Great Himalayan, Karakoram, Zanskar, and Ladakh ranges. Ladakh is famed for its isolated alpine scenery and monasteries and stupas. Because of its proximity to Tibet and strong ties to Tibetan culture, Ladakh is frequently referred to as "Little Tibet."
