Oman, or the Sultanate of Oman, is located in the SouthEast Asian region and extends across the mouth of the Persian Gulf. The large country is the oldest independent state in the Arab world and is blessed with an abundance of natural beauty. Even though the nation adopts a modern approach, it places high value on maintaining its unique culture and tradition. It is renowned for its dhows or traditional Arabian sailing ships, fortresses, orchards or Jebel Akhdar, numerous mosques, wadis or stream valleys, and the third-largest yacht in the world, Al Said, which is owned by the Sultan himself.
