In this tour, you will be getting a comprehensive view of the beautiful desert land that Rajasthan is and experience its true nature as you camp along with the sand dunes.

Day 1

Arrive in Jodhpur

As you arrive at Jodhpur Airport or Railway Station, our representative will greet you and take you to your Hotel. Deposit your belongings into your room and get ready for an exciting tour of the: Mehrangarh Fort: Jodhpur's Mehrangarh The Fort is perched atop a rocky hill that rises 400 feet above the surrounding plain, giving the impression that it both commands and blends into the surroundings. The fort constructed by Rao Jodha, the founder of Jodhpur, in 1459, overlooks the blue city and is renowned for its exquisite architecture. One of Rajasthan's most prominent forts, it has some of the best palaces and houses many rare artefacts from Indian courtly life in its museum.

Moti Mahal: Of the five historical rooms in the Mehrangarh Fort, Moti Mahal is the largest and brightest. It has received its reputation because the lime plaster and finely crushed seashells brilliantly blend to create its spectacular surface, a pearly, shiny appearance. The phrase literally means "Palace of Pearls."

Phool Mahal: In Jodhpur's Mehrangarh fort, there is a stunningly adorned room called the Phool Mahal. Female dancers used to dwell here, and the hall most likely served as the Maharajas' pleasure dome. As a result, the space was decorated to resemble a lovely flower, giving it the name Phool mahal.

Jaswant Thada: An architectural wonder with elaborate carvings, Jaswant Thada was constructed in 1899 by Maharaja Sardar Singh in honour of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It is renowned as one of the most exquisite white marble cenotaphs. This Rajasthani marvel is frequently referred to as the Taj Mahal of Marwar.

Jaisalmer

On this day, you will be checking out of the Hotel after a sumptuous breakfast and venture towards Jaisalmer. It's a four to five -hour drive from Jodhpur. Once you reach Jaisalmer, you can check into a Hotel, refresh yourself and see some of the most impressive sites.

Jaisalmer Fort: The Rajput Rawal Jaisal constructed Jaisalmer Fort in 1156 AD, making it the second- oldest fort in Rajasthan. Indeed, the fort gets its name from the ruler. In ancient times, it stood at the intersection of vital trade routes, including the ancient Silk road. Given that about one-fourth of the inhabitants of the old city still live there, it is thought to be one of the very few "living forts" in the world. The fort served as Jaisalmer's capital for most of its 860-year existence.

The City Palace: The City Palace is a true symbol of royalty and regality. This iconic structure indeed preserves our history and is still home to the royal family of Jaipur. Maharaja Jai Singh II began constructing the City Palace's original design with the outside wall. All other constructs inside the palace date from distinctive historical periods due to the addition of buildings and courtyards, over the years.

Gadisar Lake: An artificial lake, this was built by Raja Rawal Jaisal and later remodelled by Maharawal Gadsi Singh sometime in 1367 AD. You can still visualise several small temples and shrines on its embankment. This rainwater lake was, at one point, a water source for the entire town.

In the evening, you can visit the local market, experience the sights and sounds of this venerable region, and get back to the Hotel for the rest of the night.

Day 3

Jaisalmer

Today, you will have to check out of the Hotel and proceed towards the sand dunes of Rajasthan while visiting the following sites along the way.

Nathmal ki Haveli: Two Muslim jeweller brothers constructed Nathmal Ki Haveli. They began working on opposite sides of the structure resulting in similar and non-identical right and left sides. Nathmal Ki Haveli, which combines Rajputana and Islamic architectural styles, is undoubtedly one of Jaisalmer's most stunning Havelis. This Haveli is renowned for its breathtaking interiors packed with murals and modern amenities, in addition to its unique outside carvings.

Patwa ki Haveli: The Patwon Ki Haveli, also called the Patwa Haveli, is a remarkable example of local craftsmanship. This is the first and biggest Haveli complex in Jaisalmer, which was established in 1805, and is made up of a collection of five magnificent homes.

Salim Singh ki Haveli: Salim Singh, the kingdom's prime minister when Jaisalmer served as the capital, constructed the Haveli in 1815. While the palace is renowned for its unique construction with its 38 exquisitely carved balconies, its design is inspired by the dancing peacock. The stones of this mansion are joined together by sturdy iron rods rather than cement and mortar. The Haveli, one of the most ambitious buildings of its day, is so spectacular that it even attracted the ruler's envy during its time.

It's evening now, and time to enjoy a camel ride along the sunset and sand dunes. This safari is one of the essential parts of any Rajasthani adventure and is never to be missed. After the camel ride, you get to experience the authentic taste of Rajasthan along with Folk Dance and Music. Retire into a camp set up to enjoy your night's stay.

Jaisalmer to Bikaner

A great day awaits you as you check out of your desert camp and proceed to explore the following places before you get to Bikaner.

Kuldhara: Kuldhara, in Rajasthan, lies about 18 kilometres southwest of Jaisalmer and has been a ghost town since the early 19th century. It was first established in the 13th century and was once home to the thriving Paliwal Brahmin community. The "haunted" village was abandoned by its residents due to the atrocities carried out by Salim Singh, a prominent minister in Jaisalmer. It's widely believed that ghosts inhabit this village today.

Amar Sagar: The 17th-century Amar Singh Palace is next to the small and lovely lake known as Amar Sagar. Maharawal Akhai Singh built this palace in memory of Amar Singh, one of his forebearers. Amar Sagar Lake is accessible from pavilions leading to the palace through steep stairs. This Haveli was built using an apartment-style design. The Amar Sagar haveli is five stories tall and well-known for its beautiful and delicate murals.

Bada Bagh: Bada Bagh is a memorial site constructed by the Rajasthani Bhatti rulers in the form of a garden complex. It consists of wonderfully carved cenotaphs and domes. Observe the carved pillars and sculpted chhatris keenly, as these contain ancient inscriptions.

Tour of Bikaner: You will reach Bikaner by now, and our guide will check you into a hotel. Relax for a while, and then embark on a tour of the camel country, the only city in Asia with a camel breeding centre. You also get to see the Junagarh fort.

One of India's most elaborate forts, Junagarh Fort, is home to lavish palaces that provide a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Maharajas of Bikaner. Unlike most forts in Rajasthan, this one has lower ramparts and towers and was not constructed on a steep rock. Take a tour of the Prachina Museum within the fort and return to the hotel.
