Scenic Ladakh

Ladakh (meaning "land of high mountain passes") is a hilly region in North India. Leh, the main city is situated at 3500m above sea level nestled among the great Himalayan regions of Karakoram, Zanskar, and Ladakh ranges. Ladakh is known for remote mountain beauty, studded monasteries, and stupas. It is often called "Little Tibet" due to its geographical proximity and strong links to Tibetan culture.

Day 1

Arrival At Leh

Upon your arrival at Leh, a ‘meet and greet representative will receive you at the airport, who will also guide you to the hotel. Here, a delicious and refreshing welcome drink should hit your palate. Take all the rest that you must to prevent HAS or Hight Altitude Sickness. Enjoy the scenic beauty as you adapt to the weather of the region.

The Indus Valley Monastery Tour - Leh

The Indus Valley Monastery tour takes you to some of the most famous and luminous monasteries and palaces located in the region. Those visiting Ladakh must visit the Stok village. Check out the beauty of a traditional home in the mountains and savor a barley drink or some butter tea. You also get to visit the Shey palace to see the 12-Metre-tall copper statue of Buddha. Visit the Thiksey and Hemis Monasteries later.

To Nubra Valley Through Khardung LA

After a leisurely breakfast you will head to Nubra Valley via the Khardung La pass. The elevated region is at 18,380 feet above sea level and is deemed as the highest motorable pass in the world. Khardung La is at a distance of 39 km from Leh by road. You can’t miss this tour – especially when you reach the chilly heights, feel the altitude and treat your eyes to the panoramic view of Leh beneath the mountains. You will reach Nubra Valley by afternoon and we will leave you to explore the valley for the rest of the day. There’s also the Bactrian or double-humped camel safari at Sand Dunes, which you can enjoy.


After an eventful day take a rest at Camp in Nubra. You also have your Dinner and Breakfast here.

Nubra Valley - Pangong - Leh

Rise to day 4, where we will take you on a full-day excursion to the east of Leh as you cross the Changla Pass at 17,500 ft. The drive will take you via Durbuk and Tangtse villages, which lie in the Changthang region, to visit one of the most remarkable lakes of Asia – the Pangong, which lies 135 km or 4,400 mi east of Leh. This lake is known for a unique wonder – it changes its color at least 4 to 5 times in a day. Pangong Lake is also the world’s highest saltwater lake situated at a height of around 4,350 mts. The strikingly blue waters stand in stark contrast to the arid mountains that surround it. Get to the market in the evening and enjoy what the locals have in store for you.

Leh - Alchi – Leh

On Day 5 enjoy your morning with a visit to Alchi a small village about 11,500 ft or 3,500 m, located in the Indus Valley and 67 km to the west of Leh. The Chos-kor or religious enclave is a Gompa or monastery that was abandoned centuries ago and comprises five temples. Along the way, you also see the imposing confluence or Sangam where two rivers meet each other. At the junction of these two rivers is Zanskar, - here, you will also witness the “dark gorge” or Lungnak and Stod carrying the melted water of the Drang-drung glacier. A gravity or Magnetic Hill located near Leh comes with powerful magnetic properties – even aircraft have to increase their altitude to escape its interference. During the last lap of this trip, you get to visit the Indian army’s Military Hall of Fame and later pay your respects at the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, which is around 25 miles from Leh.
